Update Ubuntu System
Update your Ubuntu operating system to make sure all existing packages are up to date:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
First, visit the Github page following this link that will show you the latest tagged version, grab the .deb package link as in time the version that you will download here will be old.
Once you got the link download it using the wget command.
Below is version v0.23.1 which was the latest at the time of the tutorial, make sure to check for an updated link.
Once downloaded, install the application using the following dpkg -i command.
sudo dpkg -i boost-note-linux.deb
Now that you have installed BoostNote, to open the application follow the path by clicking your Activities > Show Applications > BoostNote application icon.
Next, you will need to create an account and sign in with a key. In the account create process you can use your own email or Github account, Google account, or even your Apple account.
You will have a browser automatically open taking you to the next screen, if not a manual link will be placed in the application itself.
